It's not difficult to understand why more business events are being hosted in Barcelona: moderate temperatures, updated convention facilities, modernist architecture, old city charm, Mediterranean beachfront, tapas and more -- all hosted in a city that has 2000 years of history.
While attending EIBTM in November, I discovered that business visitors to Barcelona has increased by about 50% since the year 2000.
And since most meeting planners organize events in locations outside of their home city, I thought that I would begin to develop a series of event destination city profiles that you may wish to include in your research when deciding where to host meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.
