Reality TV Craze Finds a Way to Sensationalize Event Planning Hopefuls
I have to admit, reality TV shows -- especially those on cable stations -- are usually quite obnoxious. Many of them seem to have captured the essence of daytime talk shows of the likes of Jerry Springer with the qualities of some angry plaintiffs and defendants who appear on the judge shows. With all kinds of reality TV shows for people to now pursue their career dreams, why wouldn't they come up with a show about young hopefuls who want to become event and party planners?
The E! Channel has created Party Monsters: Cabo, a reality TV show competition among nine celebrity event planner hopefuls. It has all the elements of the usual reality TV shows, so I thought it may be interesting to poke fun at all of the Party Monsters Cabo mistakes that the contestants make each week. Of course, I'm certain that the producers and more experienced event planners behind the show must have had a hand in setting these hopefuls up each week. Nevertheless, the contestants step right into every mistake.
I've also created a general discussion forum for Party Monsters: Cabo so that you can chime in anytime.
