Want to learn more about meetings and events destinations in Spain? Each year FITUR Congresos is held in Madrid, a two day program that is hosted by the Spain Tourism Office that specifically targets the needs of international event planners.

FITUR Congresos is followed by FITUR, a week-long expo that showcases leisure and business travel in Spain. This is open to the public, so if you're in Madrid for any reason, it's a great opportunity to see this convention space.

FITUR is an amazing show that includes 13,530 companies, nearly 100,000 general public visitors, 157,000 industry professionals, and more than 8,000 journalists. FITUR is scheduled January 28-February 1, 2009.
