According to data from Salary.com in January 2007, the national average base salary for an event planner falls between $45,000 and $63,000 per year.

  • 25th percentile: $45,036
  • 75th percentile: $63,193
  • 90th percentile: $73,752

With benefits, including bonus (average 1%), social security, retirement, disability, healthcare, pension, and time off, the total average compensation is $72,464.
